I had some spare walnuts lying around the gaff, so I thought I'd make use of them.

I cycled down to the local SuperValu and bought these ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 11/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon  vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
I went on to make the brownies using the EPIC recipe!

  1. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Heat butter in a pan over low flame.
  3. Remove the pan from flame when the butter has fully melted. Add sugar, eggs and blend well.
  4. Add vanilla extract. Add to the flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Add walnuts and stir to mix.
  6. Spread this onto a greased baking pan lined with foil.
  7. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 350F/175C for about 25 to 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  8. Remove and cool completely. Before it cools complete, garnish with some finely chopped walnuts.
  9. Remove the foil and cut into small/medium squares or rectangles.
  10. *OPTIONAL* Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Once I had these bad boys finished, I devoured them, and the walnut was a great addition to these wonderful brownies!

They are very healthy and a great snack for athletes and sporty individuals!
